So many people have the skills and knowledge to be successful online but only a small percentage are actually successful. If you want to be successful online these 5 things MUST happen.
1. Find Your Focus
The harsh reality of most online marketers is building their business while working a job. It’s the same reason that makes most people throw in the towel. When your working 40+ hours a week at a job, commuting another 2 hours a week, spending time with the family, sleeping, watching tv its hard to build an online business.
Regardless of what your involved in we are all involved in activities that take up our time. And if you want to breakaway from your 9 to 5 and build the business of your dreams you have to narrow your focus. It boils down to what you put your mind and focus to.
The truth of the matter is if your goal is to build a business and quit your job you have to focus on your business. It has to become a primary focus of yours. It is going to take everything you have got and then some to make it happen. And if you are still looking for the magic button that allows you to build your business “in just 3 hours a week” I have some bad news.
It don’t exist my friend.
2. A Mindset Change Must Take Place
To achieve success online your mindset MUST change. You must understand that you have to become the seller. If you are still in a buyers mindset and constantly purchasing new products and tools it has to change.
You must transform from the buyer to the vendor. The longer you wait to start selling the longer it takes to build your business. Start Selling everyday.
Have a list? Sell to them. Have a blog, sell on it. Have a Facebook page? Sell on it. You get the point.
Everyday you must be selling. Everyday you must be doing an income producing activity.
3. Get Obsessed
Get obsessed with building your business. Start transforming your time spent on other activities to building your business. Transform your time buying and consuming other products to building your own products and income.
4. Get Uncomfortable
This is the one that stops more people from success than probably any of the others.
Building a successful business is going to bring on new challenges. Challenges that bring on fear. Fear of ridicule, fear of imperfection, fear of competition. You must understand that there will be things that make you uncomfortable. Things like getting in front of the camera. Recording a live interview. Networking with other marketers. Exposing your products and services to the marketplace.
At first, things will feel uncomfortable. But these things are what lead to improvement. These things are what lead to success. The sooner you embrace it and take on your fears the sooner you will achieve success.
5. Knowing What Activities Build Your Business
What separates intermediate marketers and successful marketers is know which activities to focus on. You see, intermediate marketers have the knowledge and the know-how but spend to much time on the none essential activities. They spend time on things like on having the best looking graphics, the greatest looking sales page, the all inclusive product, etc.
They are not focusing on providing value and delivering that value. They are not focusing on changing their target audiences lives. They are focused on non essential tasks. Sure those sales graphics add a nice touch but they are minimal to the value you deliver in your product. Or minimal compared to releasing more valuable products.
The faster your start making the above 5 things happen the faster you will be successful. What is holding you back? What do you fear must? Do you have what it takes?
