Today I want to share a simple 30 day process that can drastically increase your productivity. This activity can be applied to anything in life in any market into anything you want to achieve. This goes right along with the consistent inputs = consistent output formula that we recently went over.
Why 30 days? When you do something consistently for 30 days you build a habit. You also give yourself enough time to analyze the impact what you have done over a period of 30 days. It’s easy to say it that something is not effective when you’re only do it a couple of times but when you do something for 30 days you can get a real understanding of the whether something is truly helping you or not.
Ask the questions
Before we get started let me tell you this, what I’m about to share with you is going to be very simple. So simple that you might even ask yourself how is this going to help? But I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised in 30 days when you look back upon this activity. So here is what I challenge you to do.
The 30 Day Activity
Create a new document using any word processor. And every day you’re going to number the day, put the date next to it, and then you’re going to ask yourself these two questions
What did i do today? ( as it pertains to your business)
How will that impact my business?
So you’re going to ask those questions as it pertains to your business and answer them in as much detail as possible. So in 30 days you will get a picture of all the different activities that you do and how they impact your business. If you really want to get detailed you can even break down the amount of time you spend on different activities.
Analyze Your Results
At the end of 30 days are going to analyze your results. You’re going to look at all the different activities that you perform in your business. And then you going to compare that list to how it impacts your business.
What we are trying to achieve here is finding your focus. We’re trying to find the things that have the biggest impact on your business. And then were gonna find a way to spend more time on the activities that have a direct positive impact on a business.
This is an extremely simple exercise that can have a massive impact on your productivity and the results you get from your business. You might want to continue on with this process after the initial 30 days if you are seeing a lot of improvement. It is also recommended that you revisit this process from time to time to make sure that you are staying focused on making your blog or your business as successful as it can be.
